One Traveler

Featuring Don Wildy. |
An evening dedicated to one of the most admired of our American poets as read by one of MMSC's most beloved readers.
|
| Mr. A: Frost is too popular to be a good poet. |
Mr. B: Frost is too good to be a popular poet. |
To "say" a poem, with or without the paper, was perhaps the best advice Frost gave performers and interpreters of his poems. Say it. Just say it.
As simple as that.
|
One Traveler is not intended to be an impersonation of Frost the man, but rather a composite suggestion of the "sayer" existing in the poems -- a persona inextricably related to the poet and perhaps often the poet himself, or more often the image he persistantly presented of himself. The "sayer" of the poems is the intention. Frost himself remains respected beyond the tresspass of imitation. |
